Import & Export Services
Import and export services for aircraft
Taking an aircraft onto or off the New Zealand register involves several parties and strict timing. We coordinate the process for a fixed fee so nothing is missed.
Exporting an aircraft from New Zealand
In New Zealand, exporting an aircraft means removing it from the NZ Register of Aircraft. We coordinate the steps with your engineer and the Civil Aviation Authority, and make sure the paperwork matches what the importing country requires.
- Check of CAA, type-acceptance and foreign-authority requirements
- Preparation and tracking of the deregistration paperwork
- Coordination of the export airworthiness certificate application with your engineer
- GST treatment advice and an evidence file to support zero-rating where it applies
- Timeline management so payment release lines up with the paperwork
Importing an aircraft into New Zealand
An aircraft registered in another country cannot be registered in New Zealand until the previous country confirms deregistration. We chase the confirmations and manage the NZ side.
- Foreign deregistration confirmation
- NZ registration application preparation
- Type-acceptance check
- Timeline management
Stand-alone services

Fixed fees, no surprises
Our services are fixed-fee and quoted before we begin. Third-party costs, such as CAA fees, engineer time, freight, customs broker and legal fees, are paid by you directly or passed through at cost.
Only the Civil Aviation Authority can issue an export airworthiness certificate, and only a licensed engineer or maintenance organisation can inspect and certify an aircraft. We coordinate these steps; we do not carry them out. We do not give legal advice. We recommend you engage your own lawyer for title and contract matters.
